Added to that, they are easily consumable and may be done so in various forms from the new trend of smoothie bowls, to even juicing them or eating them as is – the important bit is to use whatever means it is consumable to ones advantage in getting their calcium content. A great plus to eating these fruits is that they too are at the same time filled with vitamin C, a much needed antioxidant that does wonders for one’s skin and at the same time in building the immune system.

Prunes also make good calcium sources. A single cup of these is usually 75mg of calcium already. On the plus side they help you get to your regular business and bowel movement too, keeping your stomach flat and beach ready!

Dried apricots and dried figs can be a great snack that has sources of calcium as well, even pears, kumquats, and dates have calcium contents. Calcium in deed is not limited to meat or dairy as there are obviously more choices out there aside from the supplements that people find to be the most convenient as well.
