According to HealthLine, guavas are tropical fruits that originated from Central Africa. Guavas are light green or sometimes yellow in color which contains edible seeds, and oval in shape. In treating atopic dermatitis, dried guava leaves can be used. To use this, crush the dried guava leaves and then add them to a cup of water and apply it to the affected area to help you feel comfortable and to provide relief from the redness and itching caused by atopic dermatitis. RNDHealthTips also recommends a method in treating other skin irritations. First crush the guava leaves and then add it to a pan with boiling water. When the water color turns to red and looks concentrated, let it cooldown for a few minutes. When the solution is cooled, apply it to the affected area of the skin with a cotton ball. For about 15 minutes, let the solution in the affected area and then wash it with lukewarm water. This remedy can be done for at least twice a week for visible results.
